Private Boat Tour to Murano and Burano

Enjoy a romantic private boat tour to the idyllic islands of Murano and Burano.

This romantic boat tour takes you away from the majestic scenery of Venice and whisks you by private boat to the idyllic islands of Murano and Burano, which sit nestled in the lagoon not far from Venice.

After meeting your dedicated skipper in Venice, you will be taken by private boat to the island of Murano. This charming island is the second-largest in the lagoon and is renowned for its glass making. On the island, you can visit one of the glass factories to learn more about the handcrafted Murano glass and why it is so special. We also recommend visiting the Murano Glass Museum to really delve in to this local craft. There is also some lovely architecture to see, especially the Basilica of Santa Maria and San Donato.

After plenty of time to explore Murano and a stop for lunch at a local restaurant, your private skipper will whisk you to the colorful island of Burano. This island is not only famous for its colorful villas that line the canals, but also its ancient tradition of lace making. There are lots of little souvenir shops where you can buy handmade products while taking a relaxing stroll around the island. We also recommend seeing the interesting leaning bell tower – it is best viewed from Terranova’s marble bridge.

This tour includes:     Lunch     –     Private boat hire     –     Private skipper

About Venice

Venice is one of the most iconic cities in the world and the ideal destination for a romantic vacation or honeymoon. Known as “The Floating City”, the city is made up of a complex network of canals that can be explored by gondola. With so many canals, it will be no surprise that Venice is home to some 540 bridges, the most famous being the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs. The architecture in Venice is, of course, world famous, with top attractions including St Mark’s Square, the Basilica of St Mark and its famous golden lion, and the Doge’s Palace.

The Venetian Lagoon is also home to some lovely islands, two of which (Murano and Burano) you can visit on this tour. Another island that is lovely to visit on a day trip from Venice is Torcello. These small islands each have their own identities, making a visit to all of them a very special experience.
