About Prosecco

Prosecco is a famous Italian sparkling wine with DOC/DOCG status made from grapes grown in the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions. The wine itself is named after a charming little town in Trieste called Prosecco. Today, the heart of the Prosecco region is Conegliano Valdobbiadene in Veneto, where the Prosecco and Glera grapes used in the production of Prosecco wine grow abundantly. Having moderately high acidity, these grapes are perfect for sparkling wines and, as production methods have improved, Prosecco wine has increased in popularity.
