About Florence

Florence is the capital of Tuscany and well-known as an artistic center. Not only does it boast glorious art galleries such as the Uffizi and Accademia, it also has a stunning cathedral, called Cattedrale de Santa Maria del Fiore. Its architecture dominates the Florence cityscape and is an unmissable attraction during your Florence vacation. The cathedral is not the only magnificent monument of the city. In the heart of the historic center you can find Palazzo Vecchio and the Giotto Campanile (in Piazza del Duomo). The Pitti Palace is not to be missed either – it comprises a total of six museums and makes a wonderful addition to an art tour that includes the Uffizi and Accademia. After all these cultural visits, you can walk in the wonderful Boboli Garden or have a coffee in the Santa Maria Novella district, which is filled with little wonders.
