About the Channel Islands

The Channel Islands are a group of charming islands in the English Channel, not far off the coast of France. Despite being close to France, the Channel Islands are actually a British dependency. The largest and most famous of the islands are Jersey and Guernsey, and both are known for their idyllic beaches and cliff trails. Due to its position in the English Channel, Jersey was occupied by the German army during World War II and, today, you can visit the Jersey War Tunnels to find out all about the island’s role during the war.
