About Athens

Athens is the capital of Greece and was once the heart of Ancient Greece. To this day, the cityscape is dominated by 5th century BC landmarks and a visit to Athens is like taking a step back to ancient times. One of the most iconic attractions in Athens is the Acropolis, which is a hill-top citadel boasting numerous ancient buildings and temples, including the Parthenon and the Temple of Zeus.

If you want to delve more into Athens’ past, visit the Acropolis Museum or the National Archaeological Museum, which have many sculptures, vases and jewelry from Ancient Greece.
