About Cardiff
Cardiff is the capital of Wales and affectionately known as the “City of Arcades” due to its many covered passages. One of them, the Morgan Arcade, is particularly pretty because it is lined with colorful Victorian and Edwardian buildings.
Cardiff is one of Wales’ most popular destinations as it has so much to see. Popular attractions include Bute Park, which leads to the famous Cardiff Castle and its imposing ramparts. Bute Park itself is very beautiful and well worth a stroll through. It is crossed by the Taff River and boasts many plant species, including native varieties.
Near to the park you can find the beautiful courthouse, City Hall and the National Museum of Cardiff. But if you want to explore the modern side of Cardiff, visit Cardiff Bay, where you will find vibrant cafés and bars, as well as the Science Museum and the famous Wales Millennium Centre.
Finally, it would be unthinkable to leave Cardiff without visiting the Principality Stadium, which hosted the Rugby World Cup 1999 and is home to the Wales national rugby union team.
